Blue Cross: From 35 websites to a solid multisite
The Blue Cross works with preventive measures in the field of substance abuse, especially aimed at children and young people, as well as treatment and follow-up care. The Blue Cross is a non-profit organization that owns and operates 62 businesses across large parts of Norway.
The challenge
The Blue Cross previously had a very fragmented and disorganized online presence. They had 35 different websites, with a whole range of different suppliers. This meant that their identity was expressed inconsistently, and maintaining so many websites on different platforms became an insurmountable and expensive task.
The result
Dekode started working with Blue Cross in 2019. The task was to merge all the websites into one solid multi-site website, with a common design system. This helped Blue Cross to ensure quality and continuity across all the websites, while also saving on management costs.
In connection with the launch, Blue Cross received a set of fact pages that perform very well in the search engines. Thorough SEO analyses were carried out ahead of the content initiative.
The website was relaunched with Blue Cross' new brand in 2022. It was done in a cost-effective way as their website is made up of modules that can be re-styled without structures or existing content having to be re-created or re-organized.
We continue to work together and in the long term to enable Blue Cross to reach even more people who need help with substance abuse and addiction through blakors.no.
We hope that more visitors will be converted into donors. This, in turn, will mean that we receive funds to use for preventive work among children and young people. We use the new platform to both provide preventative information and demonstrate the breadth of Blue Cross.
