The Dam Foundation: More flexibility, increased visibility and more qualified applicants
With optimization and improvement over time, Stiftelsen Dam has achieved an increase in relevant traffic. They have also gained a flexible tool that makes everyday life easier for editors.
Who
The Dam Foundation is one of Norway's largest foundations. The foundation donates money to health and research projects. It is a principle that all the foundation's income should go to voluntary health and rehabilitation organizations.
The challenge
The old website was outdated and it was particularly difficult to apply for funding. It was also unclear who was eligible to apply. This meant that the foundation received many ineligible requests for help with applications, as well as many applications that did not meet the requirements, which created unnecessary additional work.
The challenge was therefore to ensure that the website delivered qualified applications via a simple and efficient application process.
The result
Since the Dam Foundation came to Dekode in 2015, we have carried out several rounds of updates and optimizations. This has made the site more efficient for users, while giving editors more flexibility.
The most critical functionality on the website has been improved. This results in more qualified applications and, importantly, fewer applications that are not qualified – something that saves the foundation unnecessary work.
Since 2015, the foundation has also experienced a large increase in organic traffic, after the website received an improved structure and technical optimization for search engines.
Dekode has helped us with the development and redesign of our websites for many years. This has helped us to multiply our traffic, and we have a very good framework for reaching out with the information we want to different target groups.
