Data controller

Dekode Interaktiv AS (org. no. 894 928 662), represented by CEO Hillevi Røstad, is the data controller for the company's processing of personal data. This statement contains information you are entitled to when information is collected from our website at https://dekode.no

What personal data is processed?

The information that is automatically stored about you as a user relates to your IP address, how you navigate the website and technical information about your browser and operating system.

Other personal data, such as name, e-mail address and telephone number, is only collected where you fill this in yourself in forms and send it to us.

What is the purpose?

1. Technical logs

Identifying information such as IP address is only stored in technical logs and is only used for technical purposes, such as improving technical setup, or in automated processes that prevent misuse of our services. In the event of suspected criminal acts, this information may be used for further investigation or in a report. Personal data will not be disclosed to other parties unless the person making the request has a court order or legal authority for the disclosure.

2. Usage statistics

The purpose of this is to compile statistics that we use to improve and further develop the information offered on the website. Examples of what the statistics provide answers to are how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, which websites users come from and which browsers are used.

The data is processed in de-identified and aggregated form. De-identified means that we cannot trace the data we collect back to the individual user. We collect the entire IP address, but the IP address is de-identified so that only the first three groups in the address are used to generate statistics. This means that if the IP address consists of the numbers 195.159.103.82, only 195.159.103.xx is used. In addition, the IP addresses are processed at an aggregated level, i.e. all data is merged into a group and not processed individually.

Dekode uses Google Analytics to collect this type of user statistics, see Google's privacy policy.

Newsletters

In order for us to send emails, you must register an email address. Hubspot is the data processor for the newsletter. The email address is stored in a separate database, is not shared with others and is deleted when you unsubscribe. The email address is also deleted if we receive feedback that it is not active. We do not use the registered information for purposes other than the purpose stated at registration.

See Hubspot's privacy policy

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the website from which the embedded content originates.

These websites may collect information about you, use cookies or embed third-party tracking systems and monitor what you do via this embedded content.

Processing of personal data when you contact us

When you contact us, your inquiry may be stored in our customer relationship management system (CRM). This is to ensure that responses and follow-up can take place across areas of responsibility internally at Dekode, and contribute to better customer follow-up.

In cases where information is stored in CRM, this will be specific information related to business activities, and associated relevant contact persons. The information that may be stored includes name, e-mail address, telephone number, job title, employer, the content of the inquiry (where this is not marked as confidential), and other public information about the place of work per Brønnøysundregistrene.

Please note that inquiries to impersonal email addresses may have multiple recipients.

What rights does the data subject have and which country's legislation applies?

The data subject is entitled to access, correction and deletion of incomplete or incorrect personal data, cf. EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation.

How is the data secured?

All communication is based on cryptographic protocols that provide secure communication on the Internet for web browsing, e-mail, instant messaging and other data transfers. The data is stored on secure servers behind a strict firewall that meets our security requirements.

Only Dekode Interaktiv AS has access to the information collected, where other suppliers to Dekode Interaktiv AS are not mentioned. A separate data processing agreement between Dekode Interaktiv AS and the individual supplier regulates what information the supplier has access to and how it should be processed.
