The challenge
Negotia wanted to appear as a more modern and digitally accessible organization. The old solution was characterized by an outdated CMS, complex information structure and a visual expression that worked better in print than on screen. It was difficult for both members and search engines to find their way around, and the publishing tool was ineffective for editors.
An important stated goal was also to strengthen membership growth, especially among younger target groups.
The process
Dekode worked closely with the Negotia team and hired a project manager to modernize the website from scratch. The work was structured in five phases: insight, analysis, concept, development and launch.
1. Content strategy and cleanup
We went through the entire website and drastically reduced both the number of pages and menu options. For example, by thinking of “evergreen” content rather than recurring seasonal articles, and by merging relevant material, the structure became much clearer.
2. Design and visual identity
The design was softened with an expanded color palette, new font, and more air. The result was an expression that both reflects Negotia's values and works digitally – with better contrasts and universal design.
3. Structure, technical SEO and UU
We built a solution with good semantic HTML and technical prerequisites for search engine optimization. The new architecture, heading structure and internal links make it easier for both humans and machines to understand the content.
4. Smooth implementation and collaboration
Close coordination between Dekode , Negotia and other partners ensured that the project was delivered on time and on budget, despite technical challenges and content migration.
With the new CMS, we have a tool that makes it easier to optimize our pages for both usability and visibility. It is now easier to work strategically with evergreen content that provides value over time. The result
A combination of a new CMS, new structure and professional content management has yielded solid results:
