The Gjensidige Foundation: A scalable web solution with great freedom for editors
The Gjensidige Foundation is Norway's largest financial foundation. Every year, they award grants to both national and local charities that contribute to a safer, healthier and more active society. Dekode worked in the fall of 2018 and winter of 2019 to create a new website for the foundation.
About the project
The collaboration between Dekode and the Gjensidige Foundation began back in 2015, when we worked together to create a successful campaign aimed at identifying reefs along the Norwegian coast.
In 2018, the Gjensidige Foundation wanted to create new main pages and again chose Dekode as its partner. In addition to the main website, the Gjensidige Foundation has a number of projects with their own websites, which were also in need of renewal. It was difficult for applicants to find information and many unqualified applications were received, in addition to many telephone enquiries.
The result
Dekode created a solution based on a modular platform, which means that the same modules can be adapted and used on multiple websites.
The new gjensidigestiftelsen.no is a modern and scalable website that provides great freedom to build and publish websites on your own. Following the launch of the new website, the Gjensidige Foundation has received more qualified applications and fewer phone calls with questions. Both were important objectives for the project.
